Principal's Message

Dear Parents, Carers and Holy Family Staff,

Colour Fun Run

My sincere gratitude goes to the Parents and Friends Committee for their meticulous planning to make the Colour Fun Run event a wonderful success.  A special thank you to Olwyn Connolly, Norelle Jones and Kate Wheeler for their hard work and preparation for the big event. It was wonderful to see our students, teachers, and parents actively participating, encouraging each other, and, most importantly, having great fun.

The funds raised from the event will contribute directly to various school initiatives. I am extremely grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of our Colour Fun Run – the parent volunteers, sponsors, participants, and, of course, our incredible P&F Committee.  This event was a success due to your support and generosity.   I am delighted to announce that parents have raised a massive $15,374.70!  Congratulations to Harley S for being the schools highest fundraiser and for going the extra mile to raise $871.00 - well done Harley.  Also, KG was the schools highest class fundraiser - congratulations KG!

End of Year Message

As the end of my first year as principal at Holy Family draws to a close, I am filled with both gratitude and pride. Gratitude for the blessings we have received throughout this academic year, and pride in the remarkable achievements and growth we have witnessed in our students.

This has been a year of learning, not just academically, but also spiritually. Our students have not only excelled in their studies, but they have also shown compassion, kindness, and a deep commitment to the values that define our Catholic identity. As we reflect on the past year, we are reminded of the importance of faith in guiding our journey. Our faith is the foundation upon which we build our community, and it is through our faith that we find strength, purpose, and a sense of belonging.

To our students, thank you for your hard work and dedication. You have embraced the challenges presented to you and have grown stronger, wiser, and more compassionate. Your achievements, both big and small, are a sign of your commitment to being the best self, you can be.

My deepest thanks to Father Colin, Father Thomas and the parish team for their collaboration, partnership, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of our parish and school community. Thank you, Father Colin for being the guiding force that has enriched our spiritual journey and strengthened the bonds of our community. We are truly grateful for your presence and partnership.

My heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated teachers and staff. Your passion for education, your unwavering support, and your commitment to nurturing the spiritual, emotional and academic growth of our students have not gone unnoticed. You are the backbone of our school, and we are truly blessed to have such a talented and caring team.

I would like to especially thank Mrs Edwards, Mrs Stella and Mrs Overton for their outstanding leadership, dedication and commitment. They have worked tirelessly to support all facets of the Holy Family school community throughout the year.

To the parents, thank you for entrusting us with the education and upbringing of your children. Your partnership with us has been invaluable, and in partnership, we have created a nurturing environment where each child can flourish academically, emotionally, and spiritually.

To all those students and families leaving our school may you be safe and know that the Holy Family community will miss you. We thank you for all that you have done to make our school so special.  We wish these families God’s blessings and continued happiness in their future, and we hope they remain connected to our school and parish.

Our students always make us very proud by their actions and words. Congratulations to our Year 6 leaders who celebrated their graduation last week. My best wishes to Year 6 students and the students from other grades as you move onto your new schools and continue your journey in faith and learning.

As we look ahead to the new year, may the spirit of love, compassion, and understanding continue to guide us in all that we do. May God bless you all, and may the spirit of Christmas bring joy, peace, love and hope to your homes and hearts.

God Bless you and your families.
