Poetry in Year 3!
Our creative community has been working hard during our English block to draft, write, edit and publish poems.
Poems are a piece of writing which can express feelings and ideas. They follow a set of rhythms and/or rules.
So far the students have explored Haiku and Cinquain Poems. The teachers have been impressed with how the students have counted out syllables, used synonyms and explored more interesting word choices to enhance their writing.
What's been your favourite part of writing poetry so far?
