Reminders from Sick Bay

From Sick Bay
COVID- Please be aware that we have had several cases within the school. If your child is unwell, please keep them home until they present with no symptoms and remember to test.
MEDICAL FORMS- Please advise Sick Bay of any new medical conditions, any medications that your child may be taking, and please ensure you keep your child’s forms up to date. If an ambulance needs to be contacted, due to an emergency, we will provide a report with correct medical conditions and medications being taken so they can be treated correctly.
Contact information: Please ensure that parent/guardian and emergency contact details are correct and up to date. In the event of an emergency, if we are unable to contact Parent/Guardians we may have to contact emergency contacts. If you are unable to update these details in Compass please contact the General Office, they will be happy to assist.
EPIPENS: A very important reminder for the students who require EPIPENS. We have noticed many students forget to return their kits after an excursion, sporting event or holidays. Please ensure that you have returned your EPIPEN and kit to Sick bay as soon as possible. Parents/carers will be contacted individually in the next week if they have not been returned to Sickbay.
Pain Relief and Medications: We often have students come into Sickbay asking for pain relief medication, antihistamines, cold & flu tablets etc. Sickbay do not have these and we are not allowed to administer to students unless they have their own medication that is stored in Sickbay and a Medication Authority Form filled out by a parent/guardian.
Any medication should ONLY be taken in Sick Bay. In the event of an emergency, pain relief medication can mask signs and symptoms of a serious illness or injury. Further, please be aware that no medication, of any kind, should ever be shared between students!
