Term 4 Band Graduation

As of this week, all Rookie Band members will have advanced far enough along with their instrumental lessons to take their place in our Intermediate level 'Concert Band' conducted by Mr. Muddyman. We would like to congratulate all the beginners this year who have worked so hard and stayed dedicated throughout the year. Well done on all your efforts and welcome to the Concert band!!!

The Concert Band rehearses every Wednesday after school from 3:30 - 4:30pm in the Music Centre. 

Meanwhile, as the Year 12's finish up before their exams, they make space for some new students to join the Symphonic Band. 

We wish to extend our huge thanks and congratulations for all the years of dedication and involvement in our Music program. To Vrushti, Layla, Kurt, Geordie, Adrian, Alex, Heidi, Chelsea, Lachlan, Summer, Caleb, Jack, Sachintha and Derrick. We thank you for all the enthusiasm you've bought to our music events throughout the years. We wish you all the very best of luck and may you continue to nurture your joy of music throughout your lives into the future. 

The Vocal Soiree

Next Wednesday night, the Vocal students will perform their pieces for the Annual Vocal Soiree. A beautiful showcase of the schools singers, hosted by Mr. Lam Nguyen held in the college Theatre. Tickets are free but must be booked here: https://compasstix.com/e/e0a3lbp3j8

NEVR Rookie Band Workshop

The North Eastern Victorian Region of Instrumental Music is offering a 'Rookie Band Workshop' this year for all junior Music students throughout the Region. 

The event will be held at the Lilydale High School Theatre and will be facilitated by the NEVR Directors. Guest Conductor Emily Furlong will also be presenting the workshop. Students will meet Mr. Mizzi and Mr. McGuffie at the Music Centre at 8am to board a bus to the venue. They will then be transported back by bus to VSC for dismissal at the end of the school day. We are very much looking forward to it.
