A Hot Week!

Last week was one of the hottest weeks I can recall here at BAMS. It was well into the 80s in just about every room last week. Our students and staff did an amazing job getting through it. We recognize the need for air conditioning and it's a large consideration we hope to explore in the future.

I hope you will take some time to review the information in this Newsletter. Have a terrific week!

Sincerely,

Keith Lyman- BAMS Principal

HOME Football Games

If students attend a high school football game, or any future sporting events, it is important to know that all school rules apply there as well.   Students not following expectations or staff directives at the game may be required to leave, and may not be allowed to go to games in the future. We have been observing many students coming to the game and being left to socialize in areas away from the field. This has led to many issues that we hope to eliminate.

Thank you, parents, for helping to supervise your child at the games, and for picking them up in a timely manner.

School Picture Day

School Pictures will be on September 19. Order information was sent home on the first day of school. You can also order electronically by going to mylifetouch.com. When prompted, use code EVTBT6SST

Let your voice be heard!

There is now a Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) in WSESU.   Our SEPAC is seeking parents and caregivers, school staff, students, and community members who want to make Special Education more understandable and accessible for everyone within our district.  We hope to create connection and community while we present a parent and caregiver perspective on inclusion, special education policy, and service delivery in our district.  One of our goals is to provide resources and education to families of students who receive special education in our district and to facilitate clear and productive communication between families and schools. Currently we are having hybrid meetings monthly with our special education administration.  Any level participation is welcome. If you are interested in joining us or learning more about this group: Please complete this google form, or contact Tate Erickson, terickson@wsesdvt.org (802) 254-3748  or Crista Yagjian, cyagjian@gmail.com
