Congratulations Harvey!

Congratulations to Harvey who came first in Long jump at Division sports on Monday just past. This means that he will now go on to compete in the Regional competition on 9th October. Good luck Harvey, jump high and long!

Swimming

The 2s, 3s and 4s completed their water awareness program last week. Not only did they learn swim strokes, but they also learnt how to get rid of heavy shoes in the water, slide into an unknown water source such as a dam safely, and emergency strategies for water accidents such as fishing and boat mishaps. Each of our two groups did an absolutely fantastic job of getting to and from the pool in sync with the bus and each other. 

Well done!

BIKE ED is coming!

Bike Ed is coming to Newham next term! In weeks 2, 3, 4 and 5 classes will be participating in Bike Education sessions at school. They will do this in their class groups, with the eventual aim in Week 7 being a "Tour De Newham" to our Anderson Road planting site (back roads only!). There will be more details to follow, although our sessions will be on Mondays. If bikes could please be brought in during these weeks that would be great. If you get a chance, the holidays might be a good opportunity to check in on the functionality of students bikes to get them ready to go for next term! Thank you
