Together We Remember

During November, we remember those we hold in our hearts. We also look ahead to Remembrance Day, when we honour those who served to bring peace to our world.

Loving God,

This month we remember those we hold in our hearts;

family, friends, and people who showed kindness and care.

We also prepare our hearts for Remembrance Day,

when we honour those who showed courage and service.

Hold them all in Your gentle love.

May they rest safely and peacefully with You.

Help us to follow their example of kindness and care.

Guide our words to be gentle, our actions to bring peace,

and our hearts to be open to others.

May we work together each day to make our world a place of hope, respect, and peace.

Amen.

Principal Appointment

The selection of a new Principal for Sacred Heart Primary School followed a thorough and thoughtful process. The position was formally advertised, and a shortlist of candidates was interviewed by a panel consisting of: Fr Aloysius Nato (Parish Priest), Caroline Galea (Principal, Holy Name School, Reservoir), Rosa Wilkinson (Senior Manager School Leadership), Prem Parmar (Parent Representative)

Prior to the interviews, the panel reviewed applications and feedback from staff, students, and families. This ensured a deep understanding of our school community’s strengths, hopes, and aspirations, guiding the panel to make the best possible decision.

Following the extensive interview process, I was appointed by Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) as Principal. I am grateful for the trust placed in me and for the warm congratulations and ongoing support from our community. I look forward to continuing this journey with you, nurturing a strong, faith filled, and joyful learning environment together.

Join ARCappella’s Children & Youth Choir

We’re excited to share that ARCappella is offering free musical tuition for Sacred Heart students this term! Students are invited to join their Children & Youth Choir, rehearsing on Wednesdays after school from 4:15pm.

The choir will be performing at their annual Carols by Candlelight event at Edwardes Lake, Reservoir, on 6 December. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to develop their singing skills, meet new friends, and be part of a special community performance.

Parents are also welcome to join the Christmas Choir, rehearsing on Wednesday nights at Sacred Heart. Please see the flyer for more details and how to get involved, we encourage our students and families to take part.
