Grade 6 Public Speaking Competition

Recently, I had the opportunity to host the Year 6 Public Speaking Competition that took place in the hall. Year 6s from Alphington PS, Bell PS, Fitzroy North PS and Northcote PS participated in the competition and talked on the topic "the power of one". They had a variety of perspectives of the topic, and they all performed extremely well, however, three of the students really stood out to the judges and they were:

1st: James Beaumont - Bell PS

2nd: Jack Hawkins - Northcote

3rd Clem Hely - Alphington

In between the students' speeches they participated in fun games and activities and all the students and teachers thoroughly enjoyed the event. A special thank you to Ms Balis for organising the whole event successfully and Nelleke and Luca for judging.
