Principal's Update
2026 School Fees
At King’s College, we remain committed to providing high-quality Christian education while keeping school fees at a reasonable and sustainable level. Each year, we carefully review our budget to balance affordability for families with the resources required to support excellent teaching, learning, and facilities.
While we always aim to minimise increases, some adjustment is unavoidable for 2026. The Education Price Index, which measures the rising costs associated with private education, consistently sits higher than the Consumer Price Index (CPI). Advice from Independent Schools Victoria (ISV), along with our own benchmarking, indicates that school fees across the independent sector are increasing by up to 10% for 2026.
Through careful financial management and stewardship, King’s College has limited the increase to 4% for the coming year - well below the sector average. This modest rise reflects our continued commitment to both affordability and the delivery of high-quality Christian education.
Salaries make up over 70% of the school’s total operating budget and are the main driver of school expenditure. As staff wages increase in line with national agreements and inflation, corresponding adjustments to school fees are necessary to sustain our programs and retain excellent teachers.
We deeply appreciate the trust and partnership of our families. Every dollar of school fees directly supports the education and growth of our students - spiritually, academically, and personally, as we continue to equip them to serve the wider community.
The 2026 Fee Schedule is now available on our website here for families to view.
Advance Notice – Student Free Days in 2026
To facilitate the large number of Parent Support Group (PSG) meetings that the College is required to hold, and to provide greater access for parents to meet with teachers for parent–teacher interviews, King’s College will conduct interviews during the school day and into the evening on two occasions next year.
These interview days will be student-free days to allow teachers to dedicate the time needed for meaningful discussions with families.
The student-free days will be:
- Thursday 26 March 2026 (Semester 1)
- Thursday 3 September 2026 (Semester 2)
We appreciate families planning ahead for these dates and thank you for your support in helping us strengthen the partnership between home and school.
