Celebration of Song
Congratulations to the senior choir who performed at Lyndale Secondary College on Tuesday 21st October as part of the Celebration of Song event. The Celebration of Song event was a wonderful opportunity for our senior choir students to perform alongside other choirs in a non-competitive setting, sharing in the joy of singing and connecting with choir students from across our network schools. Our senior choir were outstanding, and I was so proud to see them on the big stage under those big lights singing so beautifully and confidently – well done! Thank you to Miss Brewer for preparing the students and getting them performance ready with such high expectations!
Children’s Forum
Our four student leaders, Thierry, Jennica, Ethan and Alexa, proudly demonstrated their leadership and teamwork on Thursday, 23rd October, at the 2025 City of Greater Dandenong Children’s Forum held at Springvale Town Hall. This special event celebrates the voices, ideas and leadership of local Year 5 and Year 6 students, giving them the chance to connect, collaborate and create positive change in their communities. Throughout the day, students took part in interactive workshops, listened to inspiring speakers, and joined hands-on activities designed to spark creativity and civic engagement. They explored real community projects and shared their ideas for a brighter, more inclusive future. These experiences not only helped our student leaders gain valuable skills and confidence but also deepened their understanding of how young people can make a real difference. Thank you to Miss Halliwell for guiding and supporting our student leaders, and for providing them with so many meaningful opportunities to grow as young leaders and active citizens.
It Takes a Spark! STEM Conference
Well done to all the students who attended the It Takes a Spark! STEM Conference, held at The Knox School on Thursday, 23rd October. The event brought together approximately 520 students and teachers from over 20 schools across Victoria, creating an innovative and collaborative event. Throughout the day, students engaged in a range of interactive sessions including a Digi-Design Mini Workshop and a Problem Solvers Design Challenge. Thank you to Mr Calvett and Mrs Meade for their enthusiasm and providing this opportunity for our students.
