From the Principal

Preparations are well underway in anticipation of the arrival of our temporary classrooms for access in 2026. Those who have visited the campus recently will have noticed the removal of the old demountables that once housed Primary School Art and the Uniform Shop. Also evident is the fenced-off areas where the four Secondary School and the three Primary School temporary classrooms will be located. Two of our three Primary classrooms arrived last weekend, and we anticipate the arrival of our other five temporary classrooms during upcoming weekends, enabling time for fit-out works to be completed in time for the commencement of the 2026 academic year.
As previously communicated, our additional classrooms will enable the ‘smoothing’ of class numbers in upper Primary and across the Secondary School. In 2026, Years 5 and 6 classes will move from two classes of 30 students to three classes of 26 students and in the Secondary School from classes of 32 students to classes of no more than 27/28 students, all aimed at supporting the realisation of our strategic intent of inspiring educational excellence.
Also this week, the College marked the 107-year anniversary of the signing of the Armistice signalling the end of WWI, at 11am on 11 November. In 2025 it is also 80 years since the end of WWII. During our commemorative ceremony, our thoughts turned to the significance of Remembrance Day, a day of reflection and gratitude when our College community joins together to honour those who have sacrificed so much for peace and freedom.
During our Remembrance Day Assembly, students and staff were encouraged to reflect on the sacrifices made by countless individuals during times of conflict, as well as the importance of our ongoing commitment to peace and justice.
They shall not grow old,
as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun
and in the morning
We will remember them.
