From Beaumont Hills to Bold Leadership

Breanna began her schooling at Beaumont Hills Public School and now pursues a dynamic HSC program that includes English Advanced, Math Standard, Business Studies, Design and Technology, and Music.

Leading Through Sport and Culture

At Kellyville High School, Breanna has proudly represented the school in Open and Macquarie Zone Netball from Year 9 to Year 11, competing against six other schools in the region. Her leadership also shines through her role in Harmony Day, where she led the Filipino group’s performance—preparing music, choreography, and stage directions. “My love for my culture and country inspired me,” she shares. “I wanted younger students to have the opportunity I once hoped for.

A Role Model in Action

Breanna’s proudest moments as a student leader aren’t tied to a single event—they’re found in the everyday impact she makes. Whether mentoring younger SRC members or offering advice to students across year groups, she finds purpose in being a role model. “It boosted my sense of purpose,” she says. “Helping others is what leadership is all about.

Balancing Books and Leadership

Managing Year 12 studies alongside leadership responsibilities is no small task, but Breanna approaches it with discipline and drive. She prioritises staying up to date in her classes—especially Business Studies—and takes personal responsibility for catching up when leadership duties take precedence. “I mark out each topic I miss and complete it in my own time,” she explains. “It keeps my education strong while allowing me to lead.

Breanna hopes her peers learn that leadership starts with action. “If you want something to happen, you should be the one to make it happen,” she says. Her message is clear: change requires effort, and students have the power to shape their school experience.

A fun fact about Breanna? She’s musically gifted—excelling in singing, dancing, and playing instruments including violin, piano, bass, and guitar. Her creativity and passion for performance are just another way she brings joy and energy to her school community.

Breanna’s advice to younger students is powerful: “Don’t wait—take initiative.” She recalls attending the Mitchell Youth Camp, where she learned that leadership means being proactive. “Rather than being reactive, be the one who makes things happen.

When Breanna graduates, she hopes to leave behind a legacy of fun, inclusion, and opportunity. Having started high school during the COVID-19 pandemic, she’s passionate about making school enjoyable for future students. “School should be something students look forward to,” she says. “Not just a place to learn, but a place to grow and connect.”
