Dear Parents and Carers,

Social Media Issues = Real Talk

We’re pleased to invite all parents and caregivers to attend the Real Talk Parent Night on Wednesday, 12th November, at McCarthy Catholic College, Tamworth. This special event will focus on supporting families to navigate the challenges of raising children in today’s world of technology, media, and changing culture.

School Satisfaction Survey

We recently received the results of our student, parent and staff satisfaction surveys - and the feedback was incredibly positive! Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their thoughts. It’s wonderful to see how many families are happy with the improvements across our school and the strong sense of community that continues to grow.

Parents shared that they value:

  • The caring and welcoming atmosphere.

  • The quality of teaching and learning.

  • How children are supported to be their best selves.

  • Our well-resourced classrooms and improvements to outdoor areas.

  • There is a strong reading culture across the school.

A few helpful suggestions for future improvement included:

  • Sharing more strategies for learning at home.

  • More parent learning walks and open classrooms.

  • Easier parking at Infants.

Individuals completing the survey were asked to rate their satisfaction with a series of statements using the following scale: Strongly Agree (4), Agree (3), Neither Agree nor Disagree (2), Disagree (1), and Strongly Disagree (0).

The average score for each statement has been colour-coded for easy reference:

  • 0 to 1.9 – Red: Indicates lower levels of satisfaction

  • 2 to 2.9 – Amber: Indicates moderate satisfaction

  • 3 to 4 – Green: Indicates high satisfaction

Scores indicating lower satisfaction were also invited to provide additional comments explaining their concerns. These responses are included in this report alongside the relevant question. Please see the data below, which compares the 2024 Survey results to the 2025 Survey results.

We’re so proud of how far we’ve come and grateful for a community that continues to support our growth and improvement.

Until next week,

Keep Smiling,

Alison Hatton
