P.E with Mr P & Mrs D

PE with Mrs. Dalton

In PE this term, the grade ones were lucky enough to have Georgia Nanscawen a current AFLW Essendon player who wears number 5.  Georgia assisted with some footy skills along with AFL Play Auskick facilitators, followed by questions session. The students were very impressed when she revealed she had won a gold medal playing hockey for Australia in the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth games. I’m sure one day we will see some Good Shepherd girls become AFLW stars.  Special thanks to Mr P for organising it.

CONGRATULATIONS!

Last week Allegra V in Grade 5 participated in the SSV National Soccer Competition which was held in Port Kennedy, Western Australia. Each team consisted of the best male and female Under 12 players in their respective state.

After not being selected in 2023, Allegra showed a fantastic amount of resilience and determination and again went through the long and stressful selection trial process.

With a great deal of persistence, hard work and dedication, 2024 was to be and Allegra was selected to play for the Victorian Girls Team! She proudly represented her home state, family and all of us with pride and dedication. What an experience!

The end results were also something to be extremely proud of. Team Vic Girls walked away with 4 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss with only 1 goal conceded for the tournament! An amazing achievement which resulted in Team Vic Girls finishing with a Bronze Medal.

The Team Vic Boys team also finished in a respectable 3rd place.

Well done and congratulations again!

CONGRATULATIONS!

School of the Good Shepherd - School Athletics Carnival - Take 2!

Our Annual School Athletics Carnival was held last Thursday 24th October. It was an exciting day filled with energy, team spirit, and impressive performances from all students! Each house showed incredible effort and determination across all events, contributing to a fantastic atmosphere and memorable day for everyone involved.

After a close competition, the final results were as follows:

4th Place:   Mackillop House – 905 points

3rd Place:   Teresa House – 1,086 points

2nd Place:  Patrick House – 1,123 points

Congratulations to Francis House for securing first place with an outstanding total of 1,185 points! Your dedication and teamwork from Prep to Grade 6 shone through, and you should all be proud of this achievement.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the staff who helped coordinate and run the events smoothly. We also extend our gratitude to the parents and families who came along to cheer on the students—your support made the day even more special.

Well done to all our athletes for their hard work and sportsmanship. We look forward to seeing even more achievements at next year’s carnival!

Thanks again
