Only one week to go until our annual long course meet on Sunday, 27th October. We would love to have as many RSC swimmers as possible so be sure to get your entries before Monday at 8pm!
This meet is great for all swimmers in all squads to participate in, whether your new to the club or have been around for a while and our coaches will be there on the day to support the swimmers in all their races. There is a great atmosphere and lots of team camaraderie as well as raffles and a sausage sizzle. All entries are via Swim Central - if you're not sure how to enter just click here for instructions: How to Enter a Meet – Swimming Australia Online Support Portal
Join our Whatsapp group to receive updates on the day about races, raffles and the BBQ.
We will have over 450 swimmers from across Melbourne racing next Sunday. As you can imagine, running a meet of this size will require all hands on deck! Please keep an eye your emails to see where you've been rostered on to help. Please be aware a parent/guardian of all participating RSC swimmers will be rostered on for timekeeping duty. We know it can be difficult for families to juggle weekend activities, however we simply can't host a meet of this size without your help. Never done timekeeping before? No problem! It's easy and you will be together with 2 other parents. Instructions will be provided on what to on the day. Timekeeping is the best seat in the house and you will be provided with snacks and refreshments by our catering team throughout the meet!

Entries for aggregate #4 and 100m Club Open Championships 2024-2025 season are now open. Please read important information below (particularly the section under squad/stream event allocation) to avoid your child missing out on competing or to avoid them missing out on points.
This season we are combining Aggregate #4 and the Club 100m Open Championships in one meet. The Club Aggregate is a series of 8 club races held over a number of Sundays throughout the swimming season. The 100m Club Open Championships happens once per season where swimmers have the opportunity to swim 100m in any/all strokes.
In order to cover the costs of the coaches attending on the day, the club has decided to charge a $2 ex-GST charge per event. Enter events via Swim Central - How to Enter a Meet – Swimming Australia Online Support Portal
The focus of aggregates is 100% on fun and personal improvement. Below is a listing of events that your swimmer can enter based on their squad level. In the background swimmers will gain points by participating in the events allocated to their squad level which will go towards the Age Aggregate Awards at the end of the season at Presentation Night (June 2025). Points are awarded on personal best times from past aggregates. The more your times improve from past aggregates as the season goes on, the more points you can earn. The only clincher is that swimmers need to attend at least 4 out of the eight aggregates we run through the year to qualify for awards.
In the 100m Club Open Championships, swimmers race against their peers across the entire club in the 100m for each stroke. Points are rewarded based on their ranking per gender (not age) in the meet results which will go towards the RSC Annual Open Champs and RSC Club Champion Awards at the end of the season at Presentation Night (June 2025).
So for Aggregate #4, Junior and Competitive streams can choose to swim the 50m events OR the 100m events (you can’t swim both). If you choose to swim the 100m strokes, you get points for the Club 100m Open Championships and the Aggregate #4. If you swim the 50m events, you just get points for Aggregate #4. Performance squads must swim the 100m events.
If earning points for awards doesn’t interest your swimmer, that’s fine, please just come along and participate in the fun! This is a fantastic way to spend a Sunday afternoon practicing those race skills for the first, second or hundredth time! If you are new to RSC this is a great way to get to know other parents and swimmers, and for your swimmer to get comfortable with some racing in a fun and friendly atmosphere, so please come and join us.
Parents – don’t just drop your swimmers at the pool. Please come in and get involved! We are always looking for volunteers to help with time keeping on the day. It’s the best seat in the house and a great way to get involved in your swimmer’s sport. Our club relies on your volunteering.
Aggregates are fantastic, no matter what level your swimmer is… so please come along and get involved.
