Term 4, Week 3
Dear Parents and Carers,
Today we celebrate World Teachers' Day. I would like to acknowledge the incredible dedication and hard work of our teachers, staff and leaders. Every day, they inspire and guide our students, creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment. The care and kindness they show everyday is something to celebrate. Thank you to all our staff for the countless hours you invest, for the energy you bring to your work and for the support you provide not only to our students but to our parents and each other.
Our Year 2 and 3 students participated in the Water Safety Program at Splash. This is a wonderful opportunity for them to develop vital skills such as water safety, floating and treading water while having fun.
Our Year 5 students had an exciting adventure at Werribee Zoo, where they explored the wonders of wildlife and learned about conservation in a hands-on way. They expanded their knowledge of how animals have adapted to survive in extreme environments in Australia and around the world.
Next week we welcome our 2025 Prep children and families as they commence their educational journey at Our Lady's which begins with our Headstart Program. Over the 4 weeks parents and students will have an opportunity to meet other families and staff of Our Lady’s community as well as learning more about our school.
Our Year 6 mini fete will be on Monday 11th November. This is always an exciting part of our school year. Our students have been eagerly organizing and planning their stalls and through their economics unit, they are hoping to make a profit!! It’s a fantastic opportunity for our students to develop leadership and teamwork skills while having fun and supporting a great cause. Some of the proceeds from the Mini Fete will be donated to Catholic Mission, supporting the important work they do in communities all around the world. Thank you in advance for your support, and we can’t wait to see the creativity and energy that our Year 6 students bring to this special event!
Thank you to our parent helpers who have been supporting Zooper Dooper Icy Pole $1.00 Tuesdays as part of a special fundraiser to support our Year 6 Graduation.
We are looking forward to our Parish Fete this Sunday! This will be a great day filled with community spirit, fun, and plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy. From delicious food stalls to games and entertainment, there will be something for everyone. The Parish Fete is a great opportunity to come together, celebrate, and support our parish. We invite all families to join in the festivities, we look forward to seeing you there!
We are excited to announce that this year's Christmas musical will take place at Kolbe College's Gymnasium!
