We are excited to share our very first SRC Newsletter Update. This is an initiative to keep everyone informed about school activities and SRC initiatives from the students perspective. Look forward to new updates in the coming weeks!
**First of all - what is the SRC? **
Our Student Representative Council (SRC) is a student-based group designed to foster school spirit and leadership among students.
The role of the SRC is to promote a positive school environment. The SRC represents the voice of the students. These students assist with significant student-led initiatives throughout the year as well as any daily responsibilities associated with their role. They meet with Ms Pribilovics fortnightly to discuss matters affecting students and solutions to these.
To promote well-being at STMM, we will be introducing 5 minute Tai Chi sessions every Tuesday morning. Selected SRC students will lead their peers through the movements, starting the day with focus and a sense of calm. Get ready for this new and energising tradition! We are going to call it 'Tai Chi Tuesday.'
We are thrilled to announce the addition of a Buddy Bench to the infant's playground! This bench will encourage inclusivity and kindness, providing a designated spot for children seeking friendship during recess.
It’s almost time for our new Kindergarten students to visit this St MM! Let’s tidy up the school and make sure we come to school on Thursday looking our best with a big smile to make them feel welcome. This is a great opportunity to showcase our school spirit and create a friendly, inviting atmosphere!
