During the second week of the holidays, eight of our students including Ewan McIlwraith, Tiago Romanski (both Year 9), Llewellyn Gray, Riley Stocks, Ethan Medina, Ryan Wangai, Joshua Topham and Jack Byrne (all Year 10) volunteered to spend the whole week working with underprivileged children with EREA Camps. Our service program within the College is growing and this is a wonderful opportunity for our students to give their time to assist those less fortunate than themselves. It is a huge commitment to give up a full week of their holidays and we thank those students for their time and energy. The College also supported the camp initiatives by loaning three buses to the camp organisers, which allowed them to pick up and drop off participants who would otherwise not have been able to attend. Our collaboration with EREA camps is a valued addition to our developing service program.
On Wednesday 23 October, we will be having our first Year 12 Graduation Mass at St Mary’s Cathedral. We look forward to sharing this special event with the students and their families and friends. Please arrive at 5.45 pm for a 6.00 pm start, guests are invited to a supper in the Junior Hall following the Mass. The evening will conclude at 8.00 pm.
At our Year 12 Valedictory Dinner (10 December), one of our newly introduced traditions is a mother (or significant female person) and student dance. On Tuesday 29 October from 6.30 pm - 8.30 pm, we have invited our Year 12 students and their mothers to come to the College, where we have engaged a professional dance tutor to teach them how to waltz so they are confident for the Valedictory Dinner. We look forward to seeing our Year 12 students and their waltz partners there for a fun evening of instruction.
