Term 3 Important Dates

Principal for a Day

Congratulations to our winners of the Scotsburn “Principal for a Day” competition:

We had so many amazing submissions that we also had to select a Vice-Principal who was “Chief Toastie Maker” - Elijah!

Well done everyone! Our Principals had a big day today filled with many important jobs, including holding some morning announcements, taking bins out, checking the security cameras at Buninyong, speaking to students and putting feet on Mr Conlan’s desk!

We have a few principals in waiting!

SC1 Learning Snapshot

In the SC1 classroom this week we have been enjoying learning about shapes in Maths. In Literacy we have been reading the Lorax by Dr Suess as our whole class. The students have certainly embraced their persuasive writing skills, which has been incorporated with this text study. 

The highlight at the end of the week was the Disco in the gym. As you can see, students were looking the part and enjoying the night. Well done to all. It was certainly a fun night.

SC2 Learning Snapshot

Over the past week in SC2 students have been working very hard in Maths to develop their knowledge of adding and subtraction fractions with both related and unrelated denominators. This is a really tricky concept, particularly for our younger students, however they have all blown us away with their knowledge and persistence. 

This week we are moving these great learning habits and behaviours to the topic of angles and use of protractors. This will be a fun and practical unit for the students to develop knowledge and skills in. 

Grade 5 and 6 parents, more information regarding our upcoming camp will be coming home later this week, including the camp booklet will all relevant information. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Whole Day at Buninyong Campus this Thursday - Thursday 7th August

This Thursday the Scotsburn Campus will spend the entire day at the Buninyong Campus. This is so that the Young Authors Program can have full use of the campus to host their second workshop for the year. We love having the opportunity to show off our amazing campus to staff and students from lots of different schools in the region, displaying all that we have to offer. 

Our specialist program timetable will run as normal with Ms Middlin, working in rooms at the Buninyong Campus. Buses will also run as normal, with drop off and pick up at Buninyong. Thank you in advance everyone for your flexibility on this day.

2026 Scotsburn Enrollments
