đ 100 Days of Prep â â100 Days Brighter!â đ Wednesday 30th July 2025
On Wednesday, we celebrated a very exciting milestone in Prep, our 100th day of school! The theme for the day was â100 Days Brighter,â and what a bright and joyful celebration it was!
The day began with a lively costume parade, where students proudly showed off their amazing outfits. It was wonderful to see such creativity, from handmade shirts and bright accessories, to clever costumes featuring 100 items. Some students even arrived dressed as if they were 100 years old, complete with walking sticks, grey hair and spectacles, which brought plenty of smiles and laughter! We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all the families who helped their children prepare their special outfits, and to those who came along to support the parade. Your involvement helped make the morning extra memorable for the children.
Throughout the day, our students participated in a range of literacy, numeracy and creative activities linked to the number 100. In the morning, students made their own â100 Days Brighterâ crowns, using colouring and fine motor skills to personalise their work. They were so proud to wear them throughout the day!
During writing, students reflected on their learning so far this year by completing the prompt, âIâm 100 days smarter because I canâŚâ It was a lovely opportunity for them to look back on their achievements, from learning to write their names and read heart words, to counting, sharing and making new friends.
In maths, the children explored the number 100 in hands-on and playful ways, completing tally mark challenges, colour-by-number puzzles, and practicing their counting skills all the way to 100! These tasks supported number recognition, problem solving, and consolidating place value in a fun and meaningful context.
Before lunch, students were joined by their Year 5 buddies for special rotations. Together they played games such as âRoll to 100â, made words using letters from the phrase âone hundred days of schoolâ.
And in the afternoon the Prepâs worked collaboratively on a colourful paper chain, with each group contributing 25 links to create a class chain of 100. It was a beautiful example of teamwork and celebration.
We are so proud of all the growth, learning and confidence the students have developed over their first 100 days. They are 100 days smarter, 100 days braver, and 100 days more ready for all the learning still to come.
Thank you again to our Prep families for your ongoing support, we couldnât do it without you!
