Drumline Competition

Congratulations to our Drumline for their fantastic performance at last week’s Australian Drumline Championships, held at PLC Croydon. Their hard work and dedicated preparation under the guidance of Mr Ian Talati was clearly reflected in both their performance and the positive feedback they received. A heartfelt thank you to the many parents who generously offered their support over the weekend - your involvement is greatly appreciated.

SAVE THE DATE – PAPA’s annual fundraiser Comedy Night, 20 September

Enjoy our maths-themed PAPA joke of the week.  We guarantee our special guest star performers on the night will be much funnier than this!

Q. Why did the maths book look sad?

A. Because it had too many problems!

Year 8 Drama Performance

Fools in Progress Theatre Company

Where: Sarto Centre

When: Wednesday 20 August during Period 1

Year 8 students will watch a 50-minute Commedia performance by a local theatre company during their assembly time on 20 August. Fools In Progress is a Sydney-based, dynamic group of professionally trained actors, teachers, and artists who have come together to showcase the origins of modern comedy through traditional Commedia dell ‘Arte performances and workshops. The actors trained extensively in Italy at the International School of Comic Acting, founded and directed by Antonio Fava, and collaborate to create original performances that are topical, political, spontaneous, and hilarious for both the young and the young-at-heart.

This event costs $6.50 per student, but PAPA (Performing Arts Parents Association) has kindly agreed to cover the cost of this event and support live theatre at the college.
