Basketball
Basketball is back, and we’re excited to announce that registrations for the 2025/26 ISA Season will open tomorrow via Clipboard (Activity Selection).
Our preseason training is already underway this week, giving students a great opportunity to build skills, reconnect with teammates, and prepare for the season ahead. A big thank you to all families who have already registered.
There are still a few places available in the Friday afternoon training session. If your son is interested, please jump onto Clipboard to secure a spot before they fill up.
Looking ahead, we’re pleased to share that SPX Basketball Holiday Camps will be running during the upcoming school holidays. These camps will offer additional skill development and game play opportunities. Stay tuned for confirmed dates and times.
In addition, grading for ISA teams will take place later this term, with plans to begin in Week 6, following the conclusion of the ISA Finals. Grading will be held at Oxford Falls, aligned with PE sessions and afternoon school availability. Further details, including dates and times, will be shared soon.
Finally, the SPX Basketball Supporters' Committee is currently seeking enthusiastic parents who may be keen to support the program in a more formal capacity. If you have the time and interest to give back to the basketball community, please feel free to reach out for more information via email: jbourke@stpiusx.nsw.edu.au.
We look forward to another exciting term of basketball and thank all families for their continued support.

Football
The rain put a dampener on any plans to play football last weekend. With more rain forecast later this week, please ensure that you regularly check Clipboard for updates. Please note that there is considerable travel time for many teams this weekend with fixtures across Bowral and the Central Coast.
This is the last weekend of round fixtures and the conclusion of our Development Program. Teams will continue to train as they progress into semi finals and finals. If you are unsure if your team has progressed, it is best to assume that training is on.
For semi finals the top four teams will progress with the highest two ranked sides hosting. All fixtures will be posted on Clipboard, however, they may be released slightly later than normal as the ISA is setting these fixtures.
Good luck to all teams.
Mr Simon Yue, Senior Football Convenor
Rugby
Last home game for 2025
As we head into finals next week, I want to take a moment to thank all our rugby families. Your support throughout the season - whether it’s been cheering from the sidelines, helping with logistics, or simply encouraging your sons to give their best, it has been incredible and deeply appreciated.
To all the players, let's continue our commitment and sportsmanship as it has been outstanding this year. You have put in the hard work, and now it is time to bring that same energy into out last home game and then into the finals.
Our Year 12s will be playing their last home game on Saturday. I encourage everyone to stick around and support the Opens to give them the send-off they deserve.
Thanks again, and let’s finish the season strong!
