Deputy Principal
Year 7 and 10
As we approach the end of Term 3, we want to take a moment to reflect on how busy and productive the past few weeks have been at our school. The energy and enthusiasm across our classrooms, playgrounds and community spaces have been wonderful to witness.
From the start of the term, students have been engaged in a wide range of learning experiences. Our classrooms have been buzzing with activities - from hands on science experiments and excursions to creative writing workshops, and mathematics challenges.
Beyond the classroom, there has been plenty happening as well. One highlight this term was our recent Year 7 Excursion to the zoo. Despite the inclement weather, our students showed incredible resilience and enthusiasm throughout the day. The rain did not dampen their spirits as they explored the animal exhibits, participated in educational talks, and enjoyed close encounters with some of their favourite creatures ... even the sun bears came out in the rain! It was a fantastic opportunity for hands-on learning about wildlife conservation and the natural world.
Another memorable event was the An Evening of Music, where we witnessed the wonderful participation and singing of all performers, especially our Year 7 massed choir. Their voices and confident performances were a delight for all who attended. This event showcased the talent and dedication of our students and staff and the vibrant creative and performing arts culture within our school community. The next opportunity where these boys get to sing as a massed choir will be at the Graduation Assembly and Community Concert in Year 12.
We are also proud of our student leaders, who have been organising lunchtime clubs and games to keep the boys active and engaged during lunchtimes. The Futsal comp has been particularly popular.
Thank you for your ongoing support and involvement in our school community. Together, we’re making this term a memorable and rewarding one for all our students.
Looking ahead, there’s still much to look forward to this term, including upcoming auditions and rehearsals for the school musical, and more excursions including a camp for Year 10 in Term 4. There will be ongoing assessments as we approach the final report stages for all year groups. We encourage you to stay connected via our school newsletter, website, parent portal and social media channels for updates.
Thank you for your ongoing support and involvement in our school community. Together, we’re making this term a memorable and rewarding one for all our students.
