Inclusive Education

This term, our Café and Gardening Program has continued to provide students with exciting opportunities to develop practical skills and build confidence. In the school garden, students have been busy planting seasonal vegetables, tending to herbs, and learning about sustainable growing practices. They have enjoyed seeing their hard work pay off as seedlings have emerged and we look forward to seeing how they progress in the coming months.
In the café, students are gaining hands-on experience in food preparation, customer service, and teamwork. From making delicious toasted sandwiches to serving barista-style coffee, they are learning valuable hospitality skills in a real-world setting. We hope that some of the produce grown in the garden will feature on the menus in the future, giving students a sense of pride in using ingredients they nurtured themselves.
The program not only supports skill development but also encourages healthy eating, sustainability, and community connection within the school.
