REMINDER - TOMORROW - St Michael's Grandparents and Special Friends Day

FRIDAY 1ST AUGUST - Kinder Kids Session, 9am in the school library

Dear St Michael’s School families,

On 26th July, we remember St Anne and St Joachim, the grandparents of Jesus and the patron saint of Grandparents. We remember the special place they had in Jesus' life.

Dear God,

Thank you for the special people in our lives

—our grandparents, family members and special friends.

Thank you for their kindness, love, and care.

They help us, teach us, and cheer us on.

They make us feel safe, happy, and important.

We are so grateful for all they do for us.

Please bless them with happiness, health, and peace.

Help us to show our love and thanks to them every day.

Amen.

GRANDPARENTS AND SPECIAL FRIENDS DAY TOMORROW

We are very much looking forward to welcoming our grandparents and special friends to school tomorrow. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the special bond between generations and create lasting memories together.

We then explored the Melbourne Museum, visiting the First Peoples exhibition to learn about Aboriginal culture and history. We also enjoyed walking through the Forest Gallery and discovered fascinating science displays in the Research Institute Gallery. It was a fun and educational day!

DISTRICT GIRLS NETBALL

This year the Year Six girls’ netball interschool sport team was very successful and managed to come first in the Glen Iris District. On Wednesday the 23rd July, they competed in the Boorandara Netball Round Robin and won all four games to advance to the finals. They won by one point. They will advance to the regional competition in August.
