House Cross Country

House Cross Country – Friday, 4th September

Balambalam Primary School is excited to announce a new House Sport event taking place this term—our very first House Cross Country on Friday, 4th September. 

This will be a whole-school event, and we look forward to seeing all students participate.

The Years 3–6 students will compete during the morning, with the following schedule:

• 9:30 am: 8/9-year-old girls and boys
• 10:00 am: 10-year-old girls and boys
• 10:30 am: 11/12-year-old girls and boys

All students in Years 3–6 will complete a 2 km course.

Our Foundation–Year 2 students will take part after lunch, beginning at 12:15 pm. 

They will run around the oval for 30 minutes, with the challenge of completing as many laps as they can during that time.

The day promises to be full of fun, teamwork, and plenty of House spirit, with some friendly competition as each House vies for the 2026 Cross Country title.

Students are encouraged to wear their House colours (Green – Banks House, Yellow – Jewel House, Purple – Roost House or Orange – Harmony House) on the day. 

Please note that coloured hairspray is not permitted.

Parents and carers are warmly invited to come along and support our students as they take part in this exciting inaugural event.
