Long Day Care enrolments with kindergarten is through the ELC office.

During this fortnight in the 3 and 4 year old kindergarten, the children have been undertaking learning in the following areas:

Reading	Identifying animals by listening to the sounds they make. Singing, signing and using actions to convey meaning. Finding meaning through listening to words and looking at pictures in storybooks.
Writing	Strengthening and refining their fine motor skills through work with clay, dough, scissors, manipulative equipment. Developing an understanding that drawing/images and approximations of letters and words can be used to convey meaning Exploring mark-making by using a range of brushes and paint. Writing their names on artwork.
STEM	For the children to continue exploring coding and directional language through using Bee Bots. For the children to explore mapping using a key to create a map. For the children to explore patterning and how to create an image with loose parts.
Inquiry	In Term 4 the children in all groups are undertaking a study of the Inquiry Unit Our Community through which they will be exploring what a community is; the people in the community and the roles they play; and the places in our community and the services they provide.
Social & emotional learning	Cosmic kids yoga. Conducting emotional check-ins. Discussing celebrations and observances held by people in our community as we build respectful relationships through understanding and accepting differences.
