From The Principal's Desk

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to Week 6, I hope you managed to enjoy the shorter week and with the public holiday on Tuesday. This week our students and teachers commenced Assessment week in preparation for their end of year reports.

A few weeks back we celebrated our Writers’ Festival with the presentation of awards and the recognition of student writing, student artwork and Chinese writing. It was wonderful to see so many parents attend the event and wander through the hallways and read a number of stories and not just their own child’s story. I would like to acknowledge all of the staff for their support and in particular the work of our Literacy leaders, Jacinta Fitzpatrick and Jessica Bailey for setting the scene and vision of the Writers’ Festival. I would like to thank all the parents and carers who attended the Writers’ Festival and participated in the activities.

On Wednesday of last week, the Grade Prep - 2 House sports athletics was conducted on the oval and it was again great to see so many parents and grandparents support the day. On the day many of our Grade 6 students were used as activity leaders to assist on the day and did a stellar job. I would like to acknowledge the PE team (Mr Story and Mrs O’Brien) for organising the event and ensuring it ran smoothly.

 BUILDING NEWS

We will be commencing the installation of two shade sails over the next week. One will be installed over the Grade 6 portables and one will be installed beside the Prep - 2 playground.
