Year 8 Junior Round Square Exchange

It has been an exciting semester for eleven of our jet-setting juniors getting the opportunity to experience an exchange at fellow Round Square Schools and welcoming the visiting Year 8 students from interstate.

  • Isla, Leckie & Ella bravely kicked off the junior exchange with Ivanhoe students Queenie, Maia & Izzy in Term 3.

  • Andy commenced Term 4 at Kinross Wolaroi School in Orange, NSW. Her exchange buddy, Georgia was lucky enough to be here for the Summer Carnival last week, selecting Theatre Sports as her activity.

  • Harley introduced Theo to rural living in Alice Springs, which was an refreshing change for Radford College’s Theo, all the way from Canberra.

  • Zoe, Sophia & Matilda are currently enjoying stunning Tasmania after hosting Harriet, Ivy & Jasmine from Scotch Oakburn. The highlight for the Tassie girls included making so many new friends & discovering the Territory’s iconic Uluru.

  • Tiki, from Bishop Druitt College (from Coffs Harbour, NSW) was also lucky enough to see Uluru, the Olgas and Kings Canyon, with her exchange host Bonnie. An experience she will always treasure.

We were lucky enough to secure a couple of one-way exchange places so that our students could still experience an exchange. Aoife recently returned from Mathew Flinders in QLD and Charlie will be heading to Bunbury on the West Coast for her one-way exchange next week.

It has been wonderful seeing our St Philip’s students welcome the visiting students so warmly and a special thank you to the host families for providing a home away from home for them, during their two-week visit. Keep an eye out in the 2023 Yearbook for more photos and stories of their unforgettable exchange experiences.
