Year 11 Students – Reminders

Year 11 exams will take place from Monday 13th – Wednesday 15th November.  These examinations are compulsory for ALL students undertaking a non-vocational Unit 1 or 2 VCE subject, and serve as important preparation for Unit 3/4 exams and any other exams that students may sit in the future.  The Year 11 Exam timetable will be given to students next week Monday, and will appear in next week’s edition of the Parents’ Bulletin.

Year 11 students will then attend the compulsory Step Up program on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th November.  This important program will equip students with an introduction to their Year 12 sequences.  A Step Up timetable will be given to students next week, and will appear in next week’s edition of the Parents’ Bulletin.

Year 10 Students – Reminders

Year 10 exams will take place on Wednesday 15th and Friday 17th November.  Students will receive their exam timetables next week, and will appear in next week’s edition of the Parents’ Bulletin.

Year 10 students will then embark on their Work Experience Camp for two weeks. A monumental effort has been put into operating this camp by students, teachers and parents, and this is an outstanding opportunity for our students.

Upon their return from Work Experience, Year 10s may have Monday 4th December off from school, to recover from Work Experience, before attending two compulsory days of Step Up on Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th December.  This important program will equip students with an introduction to their Year 11 sequences.  A Step Up timetable will be given to students after their exams, and will appear in the Parents’ Bulletin while they are away at Work Experience.

VCE Summer School promotion

January 2024

University of Melbourne, Parkville Campus

The VCE Summer School (VCESS) is a two-week tutoring program that takes place in January and aims to help VCE students from a range of backgrounds gain a head start on their final years of secondary education. In January 2023, there were two formats: in-person in Parkville, and a small online cohort for limited subjects.

The program has a particular focus on creating a healthy study-life balance and providing tutoring on a wide range of subjects. In fact, in several previous years we have had tutors for each and every VCE subject students have taken, no matter how small the subject may be.

Applications to be a student for VCESS 2024 will open in late 2024. If you are interested in participating at the upcoming VCESS program, please add your name to our VCESS 2024 student expression of interest form.
