HOUSE CHAMPIONS 2023- LEONIS

What a great reward for the hard work and effort of all members of Leonis House this year. Students will be rewarded with a Celebration afternoon in a couple of weeks.  I am immensely proud of the students of Leonis House and encourage them to continue to show up, contribute and represent themselves, their House and their College with pride.

Congratulations to our class of 2023 led by House Captains, Tristan Longmuir and Megan Choppy, on the completion of their formal studies. We wish you all the best as you forge your next pathway beyond the gates of SJRC.

Step-Up begins next week, and we all leap forward into our 2024 roles. I wish to congratulate Hannah Micallef and Prithis Bhattacharaya on their successful application to be Leonis House Captains in 2024.

I look forward to working with you both next year as we strive to go back-to-back as House Champions. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Ms Sue Keel for all her dedicated work as a Leonis Learning Mentor.

In 2024, as we move to five homerooms rather than six, Ms Keel will be stepping away from her Learning Mentor role. We are so blessed to have had her enthusiasm in LE3 for the past few years and look forward to her continued support of Leonis next year.

Wishing you all a blessed and safe Christmas.

A year in review:

My first year at St John's Regional College, as part of Leonis House, has been an amazing journey.  Despite being new here, I've been warmly embraced by the school community. I've made some great friends and feel like I truly belong. I've been actively participating in various College and House activities, like cross country, athletics carnival, and a host of other exciting events. They've allowed me to connect with others and really feel the spirited atmosphere of the College.  St John's Regional College now feels like my second home, and I'm excited to continue my journey here, to make more friends and create countless wonderful memories in the years to come.
