State Schools Relief

From Monday 27th November, there will be changes to vouchers issued to families from State School Relief.

Key changes are :

  1. Rather than part reimbursement per item, all vouchers issued from 27th November have a dollar value
  2. Each voucher will have a value of $85
  3. There will now be a limit of 1 voucher per application and a maximum of 3 vouchers per student/per calendar year
  4. SSR vouchers will be valid for 3 months from the date of issue
  5. Vouchers can be used to purchase any item/s at any uniform supplier or school shop.
  6. It’s important to note that since there will be limits on how many vouchers can be provided per student/per year, the vouchers should only be used to purchase items that cannot be provided directly by SSR
  7. We will provide a link on our website ( SSR)  where families can track the expiry and remaining balance of their vouchers.

Please note that it will be handled in a discreet and confidential manner. Come and speak to the office staff, or Shaun McClare or Lauren Hopkins.

Concerts, Carols and Dancing oh my!

Friday 1st December - Wonnies Instrumentalist Concert.

Selected students who have private music lessons with the tutors from Wonnies will be performing in the stadium. Classes are invited to attend. Families are invited. There will be 2 concerts, one from 2:10-2:40 and the second from 2:50-3:20.

We will do our best to ensure that siblings are in the same concert, and students from the same class are in the same concert, so that families and classes can attend one of the two shows.

Wednesday 6th December - Highland Dance Concert

All students who learn Highland dancing with Cheryl will be performing. All classes are invited to attend as the audience. Families are invited.  The concert will run from 2:10 - 3:00.

Wednesday 6th December - Carols Night

The carols night will start at 5:00 and run till approx 6:30. All students from all grades are invited to perform, and families are invited to attend.

Food trucks and a BBQ will be available, or people can bring their own picnic. Students will learn their songs to perform in performing arts classes.

COVID reminders - it's back!

There is at present an increase in community transmission of COVID-19 in Victoria.

Our local schools and areas have had a large increase in staff and families who have been infected.

This is a reminder of 3 key steps schools are asked to take to contribute to reducing transmission.

 Schools should:

  1. encourage all school community members to ensure COVID-19 vaccinations are up to date
  2. ensure good ventilation through the use of the supplied air purifiers and opening doors and windows
  3. encourage staff and students to stay home if they have any symptoms, and to get tested and isolate for at least 5 days and until they no longer have symptoms.

We have COVID tests and masks at the office, free of charge if anyone needs them.

We encourage all families and members of the community to use them if needed.

No one wants to be sick at this time of year.
