Scholastic Book Club

2023 Book Club due dates:  

Issue 8 –29th November

It's that time again!

The library is closed from the 1st of December for student borrowing to assist with stocktake and the annual rollover.

Please search for any Kalinda Primary School Library book and return it to the Library by from this date.

Australasian Maths Olympiad Junior Division

Each year, selected Year 5 & 6 students compete in the Australasian Maths Olympiad ‘Junior’ Division. This includes a weekly session at school focusing on developing their creative problem-solving and general mathematical knowledge and skills, and completing in four Olympiad contests throughout the year.

We are so proud that this year’s Olympiad group of 30 students achieved a team score in the top 25% of all competing schools across Australia and New Zealand. It is a credit to their hard work and their genuine passion for maths and problem-solving.

Congratulations team!

In addition, five of our team achieved in the top 10% of students across Australia and New Zealand. Congratulations to Gavin, Gabriel, Marina, Jack A, and Jack K!
