Italian Week Competition - Years 2-6

ATTENZIONE!

Italian Week CompetitionYears 2 - 6

Your challenge is to create an ITALIA! show bag which would be an attention-grabber at a Royal Show or Expo.

Your SACCHETTA could contain objects, pamphlets, adverts, researched information etc, which celebrate all that is fantastic about the Italian way of life.

There is no limit to what you could include – just be sure the bag is strong enough!

Need some help to get started? Why not find out about:

  • the Italian flag
  • toys & games
  • clothes & fashion
  • lollies & sweets
  • animals & wildlife
  • music and entertainment
  • famous people
  • inventions
  • cars and motor bikes
  • soccer/sport in general
  • places to visit
  • food/recipes
  • festivals/celebrations

Making a list of the contents is optional but useful.

(The older students might like to tackle this list IN ITALIAN J)

Buon divertimento- (Have fun) and learn lots

Remember that UV can penetrate water up to 50cm, so don’t be fooled by thinking you are protected in the water, remember to apply sunscreen 20 minutes before going for a swim.

This term we challenge you to crunch the rainbow for Crunch&Sip® by making a rainbow in your classroom. Eating different coloured fruits and vegetables provides lots of different vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals. Which is why crunching on a rainbow will help kids get the right balance of nutrients they need for a healthy body.
