Student Voice

In 4K students have been using their voice by creating their own goals at the end of each reciprocal reading group, and will use this goal as a focus for the following week. They are using SOAR to ensure that they are all able to share their thoughts and ideas, as well as making sure that they are offering suggestions for their goal that will benefit everyone (not just one or two students in the group). They then take action by having this goal as a focus over the next week, then will come back and reflect on their progress

In 5D students used their voice to suggest that they invite some grade 6 students into their classroom, so that they could ask the grade 6's some questions. 5D really wanted to know what some of the work looks like in Grade 6, and the grade 6's were more than happy to show them.

Below you can see how 6C's data tracker for their big responses has impacted their reading responses over the semester. They are so interested in how their progress is tracking and are very proud of the growth they have made!

Below you can see how this student from 5I is being catered for at his point of need and having input into his future learning.
