Mental Health for Men

Male depression is a serious health condition can that affect how you think, feel, and function in your daily life. On average, one in eight men will experience depression at some stage of their lives. If you're feeling low for a while, struggling with negative thoughts, or losing interest in things you used to love, know that you are not alone, and there is support available. In order to be there in the best possible way for your children and partner, you need to prioritise your mental health!

Top Tips

1. Don't try to tough it out on your own. Most men respond well once they have the support and put steps in place to overcome the symptoms of depression.

2. You are not alone. There are other men around you who have experienced what you are going through and you can be a great support for each other.

3. Make time for yourself. When you are feeling down, exercise is often the last thing you feel like doing but is actually one of the best to give you energy and boost your spirits.
