Principal's News

Mrs Gabrielle Espenschied

Dear Parents,

There is much excitement as we are about to commence Stage 1 of our building project. This will include the refurbishment of the senior classrooms, improved roofing and the building of the Discovery Centre and outside student toilets.

Last Friday, I submitted a State building application for Stage 2 of the building project which will include the junior classrooms, staff room and administration.

This Friday, our junior students will travel down to St Joseph’s for the Junior Parish Sports. Please come along and support our juniors as they participate in a tabloid sports with our other Parish schools: St Joseph's, Crib Point and St Brendan’s, Somerville. There will not be Family Fun Friday activities this week.

Congratulations and thank you to our wonderful faith leader, Natalie Dullard, on her excellent leadership with the Soctober fundraising event last week. What a positive day with so many crazy socks and some very talented teachers in the soccer kick off.

We also welcome the First Early Learning Centre to St Mary’s on Tuesday. They will be holding their kinder session on our beautiful block and community garden and we warmly welcome them and hope they have a special day.

Our Defence Force students will gather with other Defence Force students at Cerberus Cottage on Tuesday afternoon as part of the current poppy project they are involved in.

This Wednesday, we welcome our Parishioners for a special prayer reflection in our beautiful garden space, centred around the theme of the Rosary and Mary.

This will be followed by our Mission Mass at 2.15pm in the Church.

I look forward to another wonderful week at St Mary’s.

Yours in Partnership

Gab
