The Principals Retreat was a resounding success, thanks to the wealth of knowledge shared by our esteemed speakers. We're immensely grateful to our speakers & alliance partners, whose presentations and exhibitions played a pivotal role in making the event a triumph.
Don't miss the opportunity to explore the eBook for access to these invaluable presentations.
The Principals Retreat started with a burst of creativity, fun and a lot of rain. Alliance Partners and FN Members were entranced by their creative sides finding inspiration in Formosas' stunning Retreat, most of which surprised themselves with their finished masterpieces. Others ventured out onto the golf course despite the rain with Moving Hub at the ready keeping them hydrated. A BBQ dinner followed the evening's festivities.
An extraordinary charity auction achieved a remarkable feat, raising $3,132 to support the National Burns Unit. Heartfelt thanks are extended to the generous donors and bidders, with a special acknowledgment for the talented auctioneer, Matthew Harvey, along with Pia Cresswell from Tenancy.co.nz. The auction showcased an eclectic range of items, from whimsical 'One of Those Days Packs', nights away and electronics to unique treasures like a Lego Vespa and exquisite perfumes. Notably, six paintings from the paint and sip event were offered in a silent auction, surprising artists and contributing $370 to the total funds raised.
In a dazzling display of glamour and hilarity, Drag Queen Bingo took centre stage, featuring the one and only Anita Wiglit, whose sharp wit had everyone in stitches.
Winners of the night, Antonette Ram, Vayle Hammond, and Jill Powell, walked away with prizes, not by shouting "Bingo," but with their clever replacement words that added an extra layer of excitement to the game. One of these magic words for success was calling Ray Ellis instead of the traditional Bingo call. Meanwhile, Matthew Harvey's room number and his playful nickname, "Daddy," became a running joke throughout the game, much to the delight of the audience.
After a flurry of giggles, it was time for the grand finale – a fabulous drag show.
