Zoe Jackson - Sailing

Congratulations to Zoe Jackson, a current Year 11 student and accomplished national and international athlete, on her outstanding achievements in sailing.

In January 2026, Zoe finished 2nd in the Female Under 18 division at the Oceania and Australian ILCA 4 Sailing Championships held in Hobart. Following this success, Zoe was selected to compete in both the Europa Cup and the European ILCA 4 Championships during the Easter school holidays in Murcia.

After proudly representing Australia at both the European and World Championships in 2025, the opportunity to again compete internationally was one Zoe embraced with determination and enthusiasm. Balancing elite sport with school commitments is no easy task, yet Zoe continues to demonstrate exceptional dedication, independence, and resilience.

Recently, Zoe travelled independently across Europe, staying with fellow sailors while competing against some of the world’s best youth athletes. Across 10 days of competition in Murcia, she completed 18 races among a field of more than 460 sailors, including 168 girls. Many competitors attend specialist sailing academies and train as near full-time athletes. Zoe achieved several top-10 race finishes and placed 22nd overall in the four-day Europa Cup Regatta and 44th overall in the six-day European Championships.

One of the highlights of Zoe’s recent campaign was her continual improvement throughout the regatta, earning promotion into the prestigious Gold Fleet — a significant achievement at such a high level of international competition and a reflection of her hard work and determination.

Zoe sails an ILCA 4 dinghy, part of the internationally recognised Olympic-class ILCA pathway. Throughout 2025 and 2026 she has competed successfully at State, National, and International level, including the European Championships in Puck and the World Championships in San Pedro — the sailing venue for the 2028 Olympic Games. Her achievements have already been recognised by Australian Sailing, where she was offered a place in the organisation’s pre-emerging athlete program as the only ILCA 4 sailor selected at the time.

Zoe’s long-term goal is to proudly represent Australia at the Olympic Games, and her current performances and dedication show she is already building an exciting pathway towards that dream.

Congratulations, Zoe, on your incredible achievements and commitment to your sport. Everyone at Brentwood is extremely proud of the way you continue to represent both yourself and Australia on the international stage.

Brentwood’s team uniforms are being taken hostage!

That’s right we have numbered team tops that have been worn on sports days that have not been returned after competition. We need these uniforms back for future teams to compete.

Parents please check in your son/daughter’s cupboards, drawers and even under their beds for the Brentwood football jumpers, soccer/hockey tops, athletics singlets, basketball tops and socks.  All tops can be returned anonymously to the main office.

Thanks for you help!
