Congratulations to our newly inducted SRC members. They play an important role in the life of the school and should feel proud that their peers have chosen them to represent their classes. Being part of the SRC provides students with the opportunity to share ideas, represent the views of others and contribute to initiatives that strengthen our school community. I look forward to hearing their ideas and seeing the positive contribution they make throughout the year.
Turtle One
Yesterday I had the opportunity to spend a lesson teaching Turtle One. Although I do not often get the chance to return to the classroom, I always value the experience when it arises. It provides a clear reminder of the important work our teachers do each day.
The quality of the planning and programming across the school is exceptional. Stepping into a classroom and teaching from these programs, I am consistently impressed by the clarity of instruction and the level of explicit teaching embedded to support student learning. It reflects the thoughtful preparation and professional care our teachers bring to their work every day. Thank you for having me Turtle One!
NAPLAN
Well done to our Year 3 and Year 5 students who have completed their first two NAPLAN tests this week. I have been really impressed by the calm and composed way students have approached the assessments. They have shown focus, persistence and a positive attitude throughout the process. Next week students will complete the Conventions of Language and Numeracy tests. We will continue to support them at school so they feel confident and able to simply do their best.
