Assessment and Reporting

STUDENT DIGITAL PORTFOLIOS

Student learning samples will be shared with families across the year via Seesaw. Parents/carers are encouraged to check Seesaw on a regular basis to view annotated portfolio samples illustrating your child’s learning and achievement. Teachers will report progressively on achievement and progress by uploading portfolio samples in the following areas each term:

• English - Reading and Viewing
• English - Writing
• Mathematics - Number and Algebra

One English portfolio sample each term will include Humanities or Science annotations reflecting the knowledge based unit studied during that term. One time each semester, English portfolio samples will also feature annotations in Speaking and Listening. 

Please be aware that learning samples may not be polished or ‘end of unit’ pieces. Portfolio samples are intended to provide a realistic ‘snapshot’ in time of your child’s achievement and learning progress.

Specialist teachers will update a learning snapshot for all students once a semester in their respective areas. (Physical Education, Visual Art, Performing Arts, Auslan and STEM)

SEMESTER REPORTS

 At the end of Terms Two and Four, parents will be able to access their child’s academic results on their Semester report, via Compass. Due to teacher industrial action, this semester student reports will only comprise the progression points (dots), indicating your child’s achievement in areas of the Victorian Curriculum taught during the semester.

Semester One 2026 reports will be released around 4pm on Wednesday 24th June.
