Take Two: A Comedy of Errors

That's a wrap!

That’s a wrap on our 2024 Senior School Drama Production Take Two: A Comedy of Errors by Hilary Bell! The boys pushed beyond their comfort zones in bringing this play to life in front of a live audience last week which was a huge success. This playful adaptation of Shakespeare’s work was no easy feat as five of our talented TC dance and drama boys brilliantly tackled the roles of seventeen characters adding to the comedic mayhem: complete with singing, dancing, audience interaction and sleight of hand. We are thankful to our TC community who joined in the fun and showed their support to the Performing Arts. The cast and crew are to be commended for their hard work, commitment and dedication to their craft.

Performing Arts Assembly

On Thursday morning, 2 May 2024, students, staff, and families were treated to an array of performances from students at our Annual Performing Arts Assembly. We also took the time for the College Community to acknowledge our 2024 Performing Arts Captains. Congratulations to all the students who were involved, it is a testament to their hard work, commitment, and dedication towards the craft.

Freeze-frame Opera

This week our Junior School boys were treated to a mini-Opera by "Freeze-frame Opera" They performed a modern version of Mozart's Magic Flute but modified the story line.

They focussed on themes of friendship, bravery, triumph of good over evil and the lasting power of music. Instead of a story about a Prince and Princess, the boys the characters navigate the first day of school, and making new friends in a strange place. The performers dazzled the boys with their vocal skills, and acting skills. A huge thanks to freeze frame opera for coming to perform for us.
