A selection of gifts were provided by the PFA for children to purchase and give to their loved ones on Mother’s Day. The stall was a great success. The children came in their class groups and shopped up a storm. Many thanks to the parents who helped set up and help the children choose their gift. An extra special shoutout to Katya Ellis who sourced all the items and ran the event…thank you!
This year to celebrate Mother’s Day, the PFA with support from school dads hosted a before school breakfast alongside Miss Molly's coffee cart who was serving delicious hot drinks.
A massive thank you to Kristen Holden who sourced the food and ran the BBQ and a group of Grade 1 dads who cooked up all the delicious bacon & egg rolls and ham & cheese croissants for the deserving mums - Dan Quinn, Tom Evans, Nick Borradale and Derek Babineau…thank you so much!
A special mention to two mums who pitched in - Kate & Louise!
The Mother’s Day Lunch will be in full swing when this is delivered!
I’m hoping it was a fantastic success and all the women had a great time. The past four Mother’s Day Lunch events have been organised by myself (Kate Esam) and Kate Ross (we’re often known as The Kate’s), but now we have decided to hand over the reins. If anyone is interested in taking on this event next year please reach out and email the PFA email pmpsparentsandfriends@gmail.com . We would love to attend a lunch that we haven’t organised!
This year the event was a bit different due to The Waterfront going into liquidation, but we pulled it together with minimal time. We’d like to thank Tara Hill who sourced some donations for us and the wonderful PMPS office staff who assisted us with printing and communications.
Kate and I work tirelessly to put this event together for the wonderful mums of PMPS. It’s many hours of work; from sourcing donations, putting voucher packs together, handing out wristbands, cutting up lucky dip slips, writing emails/menus/documents, sorting the donations and liaising with the venue BUT we have really loved doing this together and putting this event on each year. It is an amazing feeling seeing the event come together and all the beautiful women there having a fantastic time.

Grandparents Day is next Wednesday. This is an opportunity for Grandparents and special people to come and visit the children’s classrooms, share some morning tea and sponsor a book in the library.
Classrooms will be open 8.45-10am and the Library will be open 8.45-11am so that families can sponsor a library book.
To make the morning tea a success we would be grateful for any donations of bite sized goodies. Please drop donations to the staff room between Monday 13 May and Tuesday 14 May. We will be preparing platters in the staff room on Wednesday 15 May.
