Students are to officially wear their winter uniform from Monday 13th May. Parents please ensure that your child is not wearing a combination of both uniforms during this period. Please label all school hats and jackets with your child’s name and class.
Parents are reminded of the importance of students wearing their uniform correctly and with pride. School hats are required for all outdoor activities aligned with our school policy- ‘no hat no play’. Please ensure that your child is wearing white or black sport shoes - no Converse boots or skate shoes.
A reminder that long hair needs to be tied back (mullets or shaved hair designs are not recommended).
A uniform reminder notice will be sent home next term if students are not wearing the correct school uniform.
A special thank you to our school parent committee and parent volunteers who organised a beautiful selection of Mother’s day gifts for our students at our Mother's Day stall. The students were all very excited about selecting a special gift for their mother.
Parents, carers and grandparents are invited to our school Feast Day and Mother’s Day Mass which will be celebrated on Monday 13th May commencing at 9.15am.
Parents and carers may also wish to celebrate this event by visiting their child’s classroom and joining the school community for morning tea.
9.15am - Our Lady of Fatima Feast Day and Mother’s Day Mass
10:15am - Open Classrooms K-6
10:45am - Mother's Day Morning Tea on Fatima Forum
11:00-11.30am - You are also welcome to stay for recess with your children on this day.
On behalf of Our Lady of Fatima we wish all mothers and grandmothers a very happy Mother’s Day on Sunday 12th May.
Parents and carers are reminded about the importance of using our school’s carline service safely.
Do not use your boot or get your children to walk between two cars to access the boot. Please note: that IF cars are NOT stationary they could potentially move forward without warning.
Do not line up in the car line before 2:45pm. It blocks access to the preschool and creates a traffic jam all the way along Port Hacking Road and beyond. The ideal time to join the carline is after 3:05pm instead of queing early.
We welcome the practicum students from Notre Dame University this term and wish them every success with their professional teaching experience. The practicum teachers will be working collaboratively with teachers designing a variety of teaching and learning activities aligned with the Curriculum and National Professional Teaching Standards to engage the students in authentic learning experiences.
Congratulations to all students who walked to school on Thursday, 9th May for Walk Safely to School Day! These students received a Mercy Card and a tattoo.
Thank you to the students from the Wellbeing Committee - Xavier H (committee leader), Harry I, Lucy F, Ethan B, Nicholas F, Ava K, Zara G, Giselle B, Edward F, Larissa R, Hendrix M, Rory P, Oscar I and Harry M - who shared information about the day with the students and stood at the gates on Thursday to hand out the Mercy Cards and tattoos.
