Three weeks into the term and there is already plenty happening within the senior school. Many of the students are in the process of preparing or completing SACs for their different subjects. A reminder, to all, that students need to organise a medical certificate or statutory declaration if they miss one of their SACs due to illness or injury. They then can complete the SAC on one of the next two Thursday afternoons after school. I also recommend students speaking to their teachers in advance if they know that they will be absent for any of their upcoming SACs for any reason.
In other news, last Wednesday, 46 of our Year 11 students headed to Monash University in Clayton to learn a little more about university life and tour the facilities. All students were wonderful ambassadors for the school and hopefully they took away some thoughts on what may lay in the years ahead.
Coming up, we have a number of other events scheduled in the calendar, as detailed below:
Monday 6th May Taste of TAFE (open to all Year 9 & 10 students)
Friday 10th May PARTY Program (all Year 12s students)
Monday 14th May Tertiary Information Services Tour (open to all students studying a VCE subject in Year + all Year 11 & 12 students)
Wednesday 29th May Emerging Industries (open to all 9, 10 & 11 students)
Mon 3rd – Thu 6th June Year 10 & 11 exams / Year 12 Unit 3 Practice Exams
Tuesday 18th June GAT exam (all students studying a Unit 3/4 subject)
Friday 21st June School Prom
There are also a number of interschool sporting events including athletics, football and volleyball and we’d like to wish all our teams the best of luck.
Kind regards,
