Level 5 and 6 Music Innovation- Miss Nadia Cecconello

Year 5 and 6 students in music innovation are learning to compose their own song using various instruments. They will be working on creating a melody and a harmony using multiple instruments to create their song. Students will be expanding on instruments they know a little about already or will be challenging themselves to learn the basics of a new instrument to help enhance the sound and texture of their song. They will have the choice to use guitar, piano, xylophone, violin, singing and drums. Once the students have composed a part for each instrument, they will record the parts on their iPads and import the tracks into GarageBand. When they have successfully imported their recorded parts into GarageBand, they will add each track to play at the same time. To do this they must have recorded each part at the same speed keeping a steady beat and line up the beginning of each track in GarageBand.

Level 5 and 6 Art Innovation – Miss Sandra Lyczba

This term, our Year 5 & 6 Art Innovation students are in for an extraordinary adventure as they embark on the 'Artist In Schools' program.
