Principal's Message

From the Desk of Kathy Nott - Term 2, Week 2

Good afternoon Parents/Carers,

Term 2 has got off to a flying start.  All students have settled into their classrooms and are ready for learning.

Rugby League Trials

Congratulations to Ashton, Dominic D, Kaeden & Tahlia who competed in the NENW Rugby League Trials in Tamworth last Wednesday.  All played outstanding games in a very tough field of competitors.  Well done.

Congratulations Marcos

Marcos was our top fundraiser at the Colour Run and the winner of our top award.  Marcos raised an impressive $610 for our school.  We appreciate your support and efforts Marcos, well done.

Reading Awards

Congratulations to Noah on achieving the award for 10 nights reading.  Keep up the good work.

Mother's Day Breakfast

I would like to wish all of our Mums & Grandmothers a very Happy Mother's Day for this Sunday.  To celebrate we will be having a Mother's Day Breakfast this Friday, 10th May in the school hall from 7:30am.  An invitation was sent home last week.  If you could please send back the RSVP so we can cater for this event it would be appreciated.

2024 GRIP Leadership Training Conference

Our Year 6 students have once again been invited to attend the GRIP Leadership Training Conference in Tamworth next Tuesday. Permission forms will be sent home today and need to be returned no later than this Friday, 10th May to attend.  The cost of the excursion will be $5 to cover the bus expense.  All students are required to wear their sports uniform on the day/Year 6 shirt.  The bus will depart at 8:00am sharp to ensure we are there for an 8:45am start and will return by 3:00pm.

School Sport

This term we have changed our sports day to Tuesday.  Today our students in K/1/2 started with a series of warm up exercises and running games before playing Tunnel Ball combining exercise, coordination and teamwork.  Yrs 3-6 participated in athletics training in such sports as discus, long jump and baton changing techniques.

Kind regards
