What's Happening at CHPS
PE News
Last Friday, 38 girls from years 5 and 6 competed in the District Girl's Footy Gala day, at JW Manson Reserve in Wantirna. The girls competed against 13 different schools with a total of 22 teams all up. Croydon Hills had 3 teams compete in the day, with every girl competing showing great skill, courage, teamwork, and sportsmanship. We are proud of all of them. Well done girls.
3-6 House Cross Country
What a glorious morning we had for the Middle & Senior House Cross Country on Monday, running through parts of the school and Yarrunga with distances of 3000m and 2000m.
The atmosphere was buzzing with lots of encouragement from the sidelines.
Congratulations to everyone on their efforts and trying their best for themselves and their house.
The winning house this year was Yarra.
We would like to thank all the parents/carers and staff who helped volunteer their time on the day to make the event run smoothly. A special thank you to Stuart Kingma and Chris Broadhurst for leading the races so we didn’t get lost.
We now have a training squad and will be selecting 60 students, to represent CHPS at the District Cross Country, competing against other schools in our area in a few weeks’ time.

Thank you from Mrs Yorke
I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to Croydon Hills Primary School staff, parent community and of course our students for having me over the past 14 years. It has been an absolute please teaching the students in a variety of roles during my time at the school.
Thank you to all my colleagues at CHPS. I have made so many wonderful friends and it has been a privilege to work with people that are highly dedicated to student education. Your hours of work behind the scenes to make every child achieve success does not go unnoticed and you truly are amazing!!
Thank you to all the volunteers who have helped me with any of our sporting events and interschool sport. Parents, carers and senior students, who volunteer their time is crucial for the running of events and being able to provide experiences for our students so I have greatly appreciated your support!
Any finally, I would like to thank all the students at CHPS for their participation, commitment and passion towards their PE and Sport. It makes me so happy to see so many students with smiles on their faces from the joy physical activity brings. Whether it is a new skill developed, a challenge is accepted, a goal is reached or a new interest is identified, they should be so happy and proud of their efforts!
Wishing all families an active and enjoyable year ahead!

Sick Bay
We have had a number of cases of Gastro in the school. If your child has any symptoms, please ensure they are kept home from school and not returned until a minimum of 24 hours after the last symptom has cleared.
