District Athletics

Well done to our Year 3-6 students who competed at the District Athletics on Wednesday 24th April. I am so proud of you all! Our school came fifth in the District Competition, which is a great result!

Students who won their event in the 'A' competition will progress to Division Athletics which will be held late in Term 3.

Special mention goes to Emily and Delilah who helped a teacher from another school by raking the sandpit after each competitor had jumped. The teacher was very impressed with their offer to help and their diligence. Very impressive, and definitely a display of our Scoresby HEART values. Sensational effort Delilah and Emily!

House Cross Country

Our House Cross Country event was held on Tuesday this week, with all students participating in courses of varying length in and around the school, depending on their age group.

This event gave all students the opportunity to show their stamina and persistence in running or walking a longer distance, as well as the chance for students in Years 3-6 to qualify for the upcoming District Cross Country competition. It was very pleasing to see our students showing their best "have-a-go" attitude, as well as encouraging other students.

Thank you to the parents who volunteered their time for the morning by recording laps or marshalling at points on the course. Your help is greatly appreciated.
