1/2DS

A day in the life of 1/2DS is busy, busy, busy ... and fun! The photos below show what happens in our Literacy sessions every day - a daily review to retrieve and practise previous learning which helps us store it in our long term memory, handwriting practice, fluency pairs (reading) and spelling.

We have been studying the picture story book "A Bus Called Heaven" by Bob Graham. As part of our study, we have been learning about metaphors and similies and how these kinds of phrases help to make pictures in the reader's mind. We had a go at making up our own similies, as you will see in the photos below.

Our recent work with number word sequences and place value include working with numberlines, building models of numbers and partitioning numbers to show the place value of each digit. Here we are, hard at work!
